Yeah, that's happened here in the states as well.
I don't remember the car, but I do remember a KZ1 damned near getting all the way through a mid sized sedan about 15 years ago.
Most of the rider was inside the car or imbedded in the buckled roof. The front wheel of the bike came out the drivers door. The mother and daughter in the car were just as dead as the rider.
Pretty damned sad and stupid as well.

Worst accident I've witnessed was a motorcycle carrying a female passenger back when we didn't have a helmut law (not that it would have mattered in this case). I was the first in a 4-lane intersection in the left lane. When they light turned green for the crossing traffic, a Semi and motorcycle proceed through the intersection turning Right onto Hwy 18. The MC driver lost the bike on the center oil slick of his lane, dumped the bike, and his female passenger's head was right in the path of the semi turning right side by side. Sounded like a melon popping. I decided not to go to work that day....

I've seen far less difficult ways to transport a motorcycle.

I wonder how many people stupid ******s on motorcycles kill each year. Luckly they mostly die at the same time.
It is a shame this ******* had to take two other people with him. :(
We need more very extreme sports to kill these fools off were there are no inocents.
Maybe legalise bungie jumping but only give them old cords.

It didn't work in this case - only one idiot vs two bystanders. Idiot - bystander ratio just dropped.

Lots of non bikers here obviously from the biased comments. Although in this case it seems the rider was inexperienced and going much too fast. In my experience from riding and surviving 15 years on a bike. Most accidents where a bike T bones a car is the car drivers fault entirely.
I had several near misses with blind idiotic drivers looking straight at me and then pulling out. The worst was a van pulling out crossing two lanes in front of me, only to see me late and stop leaving just enough room for me to pass between him and median. I missed him by inches. Then the moron actually blew the horn at me as if I had done something wrong. I stopped and considered going back to him. But I controlled myself because I knew if I came close to him. I would definitely have done something I later regretted. I wasn't speeding either I should point out.
So before you rush to judgement, remember to check for bikes before you pull out of intersections.

I agree with your post...however this bike was doing 220 kph. Not much time for reaction when someone pulls out in front of you at that speed.
My only MC accident happened to be an illegal mexican with a stolen '65 continental running a red light, I t-boned him, but I was quick enough to let the front brake release so that I could lay the bike down and hit him with the bike between the door and I...instead of flying over the roof of his car upon impact. Just bumps and bruises (and picking little pieces of gravel out of my right wrist for a few weeks...) Thank goodness I had a helmut on, it was scuffed a good 1/8 inch down into the fiberglass shell.

Yea, the fad in the last few years has been rice rocket road warriors around here.
Wrap dayglo fiberglass around a throw away , high horse power motor and make it appeal to the young. Sheeesh.
On the other hand, after a life time of riding I`d like to have a dollar for everytime some highway hero has done the ole famous, "but officer I didn`t see the motorcycle", left turn in front of me. I`d buy a brewery. :)
Once, when going through the small town I lived in, I had this idiot do the ole lefty in front of me. I didn`t have anyplace to go since there were parking islands on each side. I layed her down and kicked off the tank and made like a hockey puck down the road.
The scooter ended up jammed under his car and I ended up in pretty good shape.
When the Trooper showed up the idiot pulled a knife on him. Wham, bam, thank you m`am..............free paid vacation. :)

Never had to lay down a bike (deliberately anyway) but had people pull out on me when I had time to stop. But I always rode right up to them to give them a fright and make a point. If I scared them enough in the future maybe it saved some biker's life or even their own.
I heard about a biker who had a car pull out on him. He laid the bike down and it actually missed the car by inches. The driver then had the nerve to tell the police it wasn't his fault and it was nothing to do with him. The bike just crashed on it's own.
One of the most incredible pictures I saw of an accident was of two bikes embedded in a car on an Autobahn in Germany. A car had flipped and crossed into opposing traffic. Two bikes riding together hit the car throwing the riders over the roof leaving the bike embedded side by side and upright. Spooky.

The swedes move pretty fast here, too. I've found if you lead them enough you can still hit them, though.
