Yup, pretty much what I expected to read after posting that.

It is a really big deal in the rest of the world and a HUGE deal to this little island. But, you guys can only ridicule. Oh well.

I was born at Kindey AFB in 1964.

Left when I was 1.5 years old so have no memory of the place but my older sibblings loved it. Perhaps I will return one day.

Cricket just isn't a game that is played over here, heck we didn't even invent it, so beating us at it isnt a big surprise. When I see a US Basketball team defeated by islanders, then I'll applaud. ;)

Cool. You are almost Bermudian then...although the base was US property at that time. ;)

No problem. Your team will not be in the World Cup anyway, so they need not worry about ridicule.

I'm gonna head down to "Yard" for the event in 2007 and probably forgo my ski trip that year. Our little island will be playing against the likes of England, Australia, New Zealand, India, Pakistan etc. As I said before, it is a huge deal for us.

Yup, Ireland finnished first in the Group with Bermuda second. Ireland already beat us handily in the ICC Tournament.

We have no illusions about winning the World Cup....it ain't gonna happen and we will get royally spanked in every game. But it will be cool just to be in it.
