A set of Rook Lancs were making their 2nd pass on A32. I was flying
a Hurri MkIIC, and gave chase. I ended up between A32 and V70,
when here comes a 110. At 1.5D I went into turn and after a
couple of go arounds I was 600D on his 6 when the 110
disappeared. I rolled wings 360 no vis, now an F-4 is coming in.
Then BAM!, there's the 110 500D off my 6. Dang glad I was looking
back, I went into tight left turn got the 110 and ended up augering
trying to get the F-4.
How did that 110 go from 600D in front of me to 500D behind me?
Cable jiggle? Pause button? What?
I did a quick net status ck and was flat line. I have DSL.

yes...it might have been lag
-
I have been experiencing this to but usually only when there alot of GV's in the area. When about 20+ GV's are in the area is when it happens to me regardless of alt. I thinkin it might have to do with the server or the connection in between can't handle a large amount of GV's and planes in 1 area like that.
-
I have also had a couple of similar things like this happen to me lately, I just write it off to lag. Sometimes it sucks but its really no biggie - the majority of the time I have a great connection and no problems whatsoever.

When I had dial up I usually had a ping of 180 - 200 to server. With DSL it's 93 - 94. :D
I just don't think it's right that some ppl seem to be able to
disappear then reappear. I mean come on, I was in a Hurri II and
going against a 110 WITH E. I could see if we were in GVs, but
there was only the 110 and myself, until the F-4 jumped in.
Hey most of you know I like fighting in tanks, so when I fly and
see something strange like this...I got to say something.

You entered a wormhole.:D

I've heard of people holding down control and hitting the "S" key repeatedly so that they are taking like 20 screen shots while you are that close too them.Every time you take a screen shot your screen freezes for a second, imagine if you did that like 20 times in a row?
Too test if this is true, see how many virtual pilots come on here after me saying how thats impossible and start flaming me for giving up thier secret too everyone else.
But this is all just my opinion, and someone else told me how too do it.

Happened to me the other night. Just lining up on a N1K2 and he started warping like crazy all over the screen. Then just dissapeared. I looked around everywhere and couldnt find him, so I went on to engage another target. A few seconds later, here he comes about 3k back and headin for me full speed. Everyone else around me was normal. Then last night, fighting a 110. Get on his 6 and start chewing on him, he just dissapeared. Thought he must have discoed. Turned to head towards an La-7, and next thing I know tracers are flying by me and someone is yelling at me to watch out for the 110 on my tail. BOOM and I'm lookin out of the tower.
Ahhhh, the joys of internet gaming.

Before you all get bent out of shape. Your FE and other players FE are two dif things. there are small bugs in game. I know i assumed once that i for sure gad a guy cheating ( i have caught 1 before) I sent film to skuzzy they reviewed film found it was a bug that enemy never showed icon or showed in film viewer as being near me. i was flying middle ocean when all of a sudden ping ping ping look around nothing bulets cintinue next thing all 3 planes gone still no one in sight. So I said to REDGE that was wrong person to pull that trick on I flim every sortie. Well had to eat crow apologize after HTC confirmed it was bug not cheat.
I would say i've had 20 to 30 screen freezes and had to turn computer off alot lately to restart game. I ;m sure others having same problems..................... ................ Or and while i stayed in hotel for 5 months i was using wireless. warps were unreal couldn't fly fighter and had some get mad about bombers warping but when its all u got nothing you can do.
again Like i say to everyone Film every sortie. You'll learn so much from watching films of fights. mostly i watch how i died in a fight i learn the most from dying. and you never know u might spot a bug or some thing fishy just turn it in to HTC. At end of day i save films i want to see rename them delete rest...............thats my 100 cents worth :)

Uh Rod no one is getting bent out of shape. I had time to do a
net stat ck before the F-4 came in. It was flat line. Everything,
and I mean EVERYTHING was smooth up until the 110 disappeared.
No mini warps or anything. So how could it come down to his FE
vs my FE? Guess that's becoming the standard reply when something
like this happens. It's ranking right up there with "2 weeks".
Film? I would venture to say maybe 20% of the players film every
sortie. Why? It takes up alot of HD space and then we have to
view each one and decide weither they are keepers or file 13.
I only film when I feel something isn't right. Up until the time the
110 disappeared, it felt right, so when it happened it was too late
to start filming.

Satelite connection? I had the same happen with a 110. I asked the guy and said he was using a satelite connection.

lol read post I said before you get bent out of shape. Its fact Fe's don't see it same. I have disco'ed myself after checking net status all flat.
lastly you only saVE FILMS that you want to review AKA great fight or a lost fight. and anything u might want to turn into HTC. Best way for HTC to fix bugs is seee films.
just when you film a sortie that you want to save go rename it after u land, anything not named delete it.
in my file of films there r just 29 films and i flim every sortie while in ah. not hard to do. some films have brought BUGs to htc attention some have supplied them with other info :)
