I have felt sorry for guys much younger than me that were in tears over getting older or some percieved landmark birthday... they just looked so pitiful and unhappy. Like one 24 hour period ended a very important part of their lives..

I don't really understand it but if you feel old then I sympathize.

Have to agree... the 40 milestone was easy. I really didn't feel old until I was 38 and playing roller hockey with 18 year-olds. :)

Go out and do something, don't just cower in your house and watch TV. That is certain death but it may take you a few days to realize that rigor has set in.

40 is not old, just older. Get on with living what you got and remember every day is a blessing. Some folks never make it even that far, as we've all been reminded this week by events in London!
