Bigger monitors or glasses might help :) You need to be lookin at enemy planes instead of gauges anyway.....lol

From what I can see in Waffle's new cockpit, the lines and numbers on the guages are a bit whiter and stand out better. Maybe it's just the screen shot or my imagination.
Hopefully it's a whiter shade, the current lines on the guages are a bit grayish and harder to see by us old pharts.

dont butcher the cockpits!   the latest p51 guages are plenty visible and dont seem to be larger than the real ones, tho they are kinda generic.

map your forward hat switch to a closer dash view!

Or get a Trackir. As dumb as it sounds, it's helped my aging fanny quite a bit, I just lean forward and look down. I've got gauge SA down pat. Too bad I'm clueless about everything else. ;)

Guages in the screenshots of the jug and the pony look fine to me.
the already redone planes 190 etc the guages are hard to read but I dont think its the size of the guages as much as it is the contrast between the numbers on the guages and the guage itself.
I think if they made the numbers a little brighter they would contrast more with the bacxkgroud and would be alot easier to read

I just changed my resolutions from 1280 x 960 to 1600 x 1200 and it makes all the difference in the world with the guages.

I cant see the new guages int 1280 x960 without zooming in with TIR vector.

Changed to 1600x1200 and I can see them clear as day.... seems to me theyre tailored to the higher resolutions.

It was the 38 makeovers that I was and still have probs reading.
The new 190s are much better in this department IMHO.
From what I can tell by the screenies of the 51s and 47, they look pretty readable to me also. Ingame will tell the tale.
The screenie of the 47N is waaaaaaay cool BTW. :)

You really dont need to be able to read the digits. The Needle position is enough. Compare it to driving your car. Do you really read the numbers on the "Im Speedin O Meter" or do you just look at the position of the needle?

I know that I dont read the digits when driving and I dont read em when flying either. I just glance at the gauges and look at the needle.
