Very nice, now how about re modeling the spit!
-
You know Nilsen, if you spent half as much time sailing as you did prowling the forums you'd probably be half decent.
-
here's what we might get for Spit + 109 update
Spitfires
Spitfire 1a
Spitfire 5b
Spitfire 5c
Spitfire F. 9c
Spitfire LF. 8
Spitfire LF. 16
Spitfire F. 14
Notes:
* Spitfire F.MK.Vb('41) will be restricted to the 'b-wing' armament option. Total 120 rounds of 20mm cannons(60rpg)
* Spitfire F.MK.Vc('42) will be allowed the use of the 'universal wing' armament options. It will be given a hangar armament option of;
a) 8x 30cal
b) 4x 30cal + 2x 20mm(120rpg)
The 4x 20mm option for all the Spitfire variants with 'c' wings, is open for debate.
*The Spitfire F.Mk IXc ('42) will be removed of bombs, rockets, and M2 50cals.
*The Spitfire LF.Mk VIIIc will use the Merlin 66 engine, full length Universal wing. It will substitute the 1943 LF.Mk IX, as well as be suitable for Med. and Pac. theater usage.
*The Spitfire LF.Mk XVIe, will use the 1580 hp Packard R.R. Merlin266 at +25lbs Boost. Clipped wings, bubble canopy, and "E" wing option, with M2 50cals available. It's performance is between the Spit8 and the Spit14, and will be the best performing, free Spitfire.
*The Spitfire F.Mk XIV, will be raised to +21lbs boost to justify it's perked status and keep it as the ultimate Spitfire in AH.
109s
Bf-109E-4
Bf-109F-4
Bf-109G-2
Bf-109G-6
Bf-109G-10
Bf-109G-14
Bf-109K-4
Notes:
* All the Bf109 models(E-4~G-6), that does not use MW50, will be corrected in the WEP duration time, shortened to 5 minutes.
* The Bf109G-14, will use the DB605AM. MW50, 10min. WEP duration. 414mph max. speed
* The Bf109G-10, will be using the DB605DBM, 428mph top speed. This will the best performing free Bf109.
* The Bf109K-4, will be modelled separately from the G-10 - different engine cowl, fully retractable tail wheel.
This model will retain the former AH G-10 top speed of 452mph, and become the ultimate Bf109. It will be perked. Perhaps, inclusion of rare equipment such as Fletnners, or type U6 option with 2x MK108 wing gondolas could be justified, due to the newly introduced perk prices.

And how do you know this?

The Royal Navy also must be 'nancy boys' for they also used Mountbatten Pink, in 3 shades, on their ships.
Only those ignorant on the history of Mountbatten Pink would make such a comment. So :( .
To help remove their ignorance:
"A further unofficial type that originated in 1940 in home waters was a singular idea thought up by Louis Mountbatten. In the autumn of 1940 while escorting a convoy he noticed that one ship in the group vanished from view much earlier that the remainder. The vessel in question turned out to be a Union Castle liner that was still wearing her pre-war hull color of medium lavender mauve grey. So convinced was Mountbatten of this color’s effectiveness at dawn and dusk, often the times of greatest danger, that with only a slight variation in tone, he adopted the color and had it worn by all of destroyers in his flotilla. At this time the ships of the fifth flotilla were all “K” class destroyers. As originally worn, the color was a medium grey (507B) with a small amount of Venetian Red in the mix. The red tint produced a very distinctive color and is one of the few camouflage types an observer never forgot once he had seen it. No reports were ever received from sea as to its effectiveness but belief in its properties was strong enough to convince captains of other vessels, so that by early 1941 several destroyers and some cruisers were wearing this scheme, known by this time as “Mountbatten Pink”." with more at http://www.shipcamouflage.com/3_2.htm particularily "HMS CAMBELTOWN was painted overall Mountbatten Pink especially for the St. Nazaire operation."

Does that include the 109-F4? It has always had a longer WEP duration than other 109's going back to AW days.

Har Harggh Nilsen me ole sea dog.
Actualy I used to take groups of young people on sailing trips. we used to Charter an old Baltic Trader out of Ipswich or Southhampton depending on the time of year, and sail the Channel routes. we had a proffessional crew of three then the rest was made up of Landlocked Brummies all spewing over the side for the first few days. great fun and a great learning experience for the kids. Most of whom were from the rougher parts of town.
Think thiswas the boat if memory serves me well.

Sailing those old ships are great. I had the chanse once to do a 3 month trip with a fullrigger the autumn of 94 but to my suprise I managed to get in to Officer candiate school that summer. Oldest boat ive been on is Colin Archer made around 1900 as a rescue boat. Alot of hard work but great none the less. :)
-
This one was called Galadriel. Theres a summary about it on the website. Was hard work but great fun. Though one memorably aborted trip to the Channel Islands after we got caught in a very big storm, springs to mind. That was the hardest.
-
Damn...this might get me to re-activate my account.

a bad storm at sea in a sailboat quickly turns a boy into a man.

1k3, I have no idea where you're pulling all these "corrections" from. You're certain?

check air/vehicle forums
and these threads
* Suggested, complete Spitfire lineup for Aces High
* Go to first new post fixing Spitfires, not about engines
* Go to first new post Spit and 109 Update

lol, you're serious?
You give me one thread with some random suggestions, with no official input, and you claim "here's what we might get for Spit + 109 update " is actually correct?
Sorry, I hate to say this, but I'm privie to more information, and your claims are just as good as another player saying we will probably see Godzilla modeled.
-
No no. Mothra is being modeled first.
