Title: HTC, please redo ASAP the C.205 cockpit
Post by: gatt on July 19, 2005, 02:07:26 AM
It's so ugly compared to a lot of other aircraft that I can barely stand it  ;) :)

Yes sir Gatt,

But a designer is needed, do you agree?

The 205 cockpit, what about the 38G?:D

So many people complain about not being able to see out of it.

Eh, Hoarach,

we are more than comfortable seeing out of the 205's claustrophobic and heavy framed cockpit  ;)

However, we would like to see better gauges, panels and so on.

I like AH2, I've been flying and supporting the developers since the 1999 beta but, honestly speaking, all our squad is tired of the "5-years-old-italian-a/c-cockpit-graphics".

Poor cockpit graphics is not an important issue in a good flight sim, however it become important after many years.

C 205 is fine, just remodel the me 262.

For example starting the engine in real live took at least 20 mins with a complex sequence of watching gauges. Also it needed starter motor and start fuel, which was only enough on board for 3 engine starts or so.

So remodel it that all the 262 dweebs spend 20mins on the runway fiddleing switches till the thing runs or doesnt run.

Well... at least you did mention the C205 in this post.... but don't you think "is fine" is sort of your opinion?

There's a point at which realism just isn't fun anymore.

Well, Spits and Bf109s are next up for revision.

I'd imagine the B-26, B-17 and perhaps Mosquito, A-20G, Boston, C-47 and Lanc are on the priority list too for ToD which will be in Western Europe initially.

The C.205 does need an update badly, as do the F4U, La-5FN and -7 and the N1K2-J.  I hope we see them sometime soon, but I'm not expecting it.

I agree about the MC205 cockpit.  please consider adding the Fiat G55 and the Caproni-Reggiane RE2005.

I like the macci fighters, and would like to see them redone. However I'm guessing they'll have to wait behind the ETO bombers and the hurc/110 combo.

Too bad there's no other aircraft built on that airframe, or they might add more versions when they update them. Maybe they can add the under wing hardpoints for the 205? Or maybe add a C.200 or something.

They could add the nice G.55 Centauro with some work (mainly wings).

However, I'd prefer a C.205/C.202 redone with the new US fighters graphics. I like them very much.
