Ive brought this subject up many times and I have also seen many others bring it up as well....
I would like to have an option (in game) to name and date (auto date) the films and screen shots after u take them or after flight...
YES.... or
NO....
Let the community decide,
and if majority does say yes, which i think they will, please HTC add this option to your list of to do's?
SO WHAT DOES AH COMMUNITY THINK>>>>>>>>
:aok

big yes

If you open up the films folder in the Ah directory, and then click on view, list, - then "details" - you will see that there is a time / date stamp applied.

I absolutely loved this feature in Air Warrior. I find that I record a lot of films and it is a very great task to sort through them all and rename them. To just jot down a little 'blurb' about the film for instance "262overbish5kill" and have that be the film title would be just wonderful. Sure beats film 1-200 with the buggy film viewer and its vox-locks.

thanks waffle however it would be nice to name it, and having to leave the game each time is not that fun ....
-
Sounds like a good idea to me.
In game film organinzation.:)

nope..I vote NO
well not in your way
This is the problem,
I dont make only 1 film per sortie..as I usually kill multiple bish-rook scum per sortie...I frequently stop film..and restart..So this way im making 7+ films in 1 flight. I do this becuase editing films already sucks..and why film dead air?
It would be great to have the option when you land to save films with custom names from the tower.....
BUT...we pretty much can now..
1) I have the Films folder "Shortcutted"....to my desk top
2)Alt+Tab..minimize Ah....
3)click films..
4)clik on most recent films by looking at date & time...
5)I then right clik film..and name it ..."another seal wacking"
5 easy steps
how and when would you want to customize the names?...becuase you do not say
leaving the game?..you can still be flying while AH is minimized on your desk top

Be great cept if I alt-tab to desktop I always get the blue screen of death when I go back into AH. I'm sure this is something on my end but I have no idea how to remedy it.

clip..not sure how to fix tht1..You might want to get into the technicla help forums for tht 1
Alt Tab is a great thing in AH

No... I would rather see other things implimented before this.

BigB,
What if it were possible to still film numerous different files or films during one sortie, and still be able to name each and every one right after the sortie?
Sort of with a series of pop up boxes ingame or such, that says, "Film #1, #2, etc."?
I agree that other things should take priority, but if there ever comes a time when semi-related programming is going on, if this could be implemented as well, that would be great.
As is, I have a very bothersome time going into "my computer" and renaming my films/throwing out the boring ones. I can still do it, sure, but all I'm saying is if it's ever convenient to give us the option to do this immediately after a sortie, I for one would certainly appreciate it.
-
Not a bad idea. I'm guilty of forgetting to turn the film OFF so when I am reviewing them, i have these huge films with multiple sorties on em.
Im not sure your mechanism is the best one but something along those lines would be neat.
-
yes on the films. we should have the option to delete them after we stop the gun cam, too.
no on screenshots. too cumbersome to do during flight. fix your screenies later, dammit. (unless I'm on your six...then, feel free to distract yourself all you want. :D )
-
It would be nice to be able to re-name the film when it stops. It can use a default name if you don't choose to rename. In AW, I used to tag the films that had something I wanted to see later.
It would also be nice to stop and re-start a new film between sorties. I have programed my Cougar to automaticly do this, I am sure it can be done in the game.

like what........... u dont think htc can also work on somthing this small into their schedule?? well why not, yes they are busy working on TOD and other things to help this game look/run better however things like this should have been put into the game b4 any of those things were thought of....
Its the minor details that count, in anything in life
Including a game :)
-
No
There are still too many planes, & other features I'd like to see implemented first.
Besides, if you use a program like Irfanview, its very easy to go see what screen shots are in the AH Dir.
Sort through, find the one you want, crop it, resize it, save it. Delete the rest.

I used to "date" "films", but then I got a girlfriend. The real thing is much better.

Sorry I meant... I would like to see other things added to the film viewer before this... I wasn't refering to the game.
