It blows up really nice.  Other than that, *shrug*.

I'm not a major Jug pilot, so I'm not in a position to say whether it's more nimble than the others or not.

However with 50% internal and 1.00 fuel burn rate, it said I had 58 minutes flight time with full throttle.

Climb is about average for a p47 (not too great). WEP increases speed (you can sort of feel it kick in, acceleration wise) but it burns out shortly... Then again I was on the deck. Maybe the wep is meant to be used at alt.

Currently has a bug (I posted in the bugs forum) where full throttle takes up more GPH than WEP does. Not sure if they're transposed or one of them is just wrong. Says 290GPH for full throt and about 270-something for WEP.

This is likely not a bug.  Some engines which used water-injection WEP actually did use less fuel at WEP settings than at full normal.

The water injection allowed more gas in the cylinder, which allowed greater power to be pulled from the same engine without overheating as badly (that's what the water did, it allowed it to compress more gas mix). So I'd think that even with water injection, which a lot of different engines use, that the P47N would use a lot more gas with WEP than without.

A simple, uneducated, opinion.

Been here before.

The water injection is for cooling.
Without water injection they overfuel the engine to gain the cooling effect needed.

By overfueling the engine the fuel mixture is too rich and reduces power output.
By replacing the excess fuel with injected water you get the required cooling effect and keep a chemically correct fuel mixture for maximum power.

Fuel consumption reduced and power increased.

The N is a jug pilots wet dream. For a general LALA guy it's hardly anything impressive.

A bit like offering a beer guy some vintage wine after k-mart stuff - he won't see any difference. Both are red. :D

Agree with AKAK, it burns nicely and blows up nicely. Just another target.
