Post by: jEEZY on July 26, 2005, 10:31:31 AM: Was back in CA for a couple of days last week. Damn in-n-out burger has good food. For fast food that is. Shame they dont export this out east.

Note that in-n-out has several off-menu add-ons, such as 4x4, and animal style.

"Animal Style" - bun is grilled with mustard, sauteed onions instead of raw, pickles, extra "special sauce" - [this can also be applied to fries

"Wish Burger" - no meat, i.e. veggie burger

"Protein Style" - lettuce wrapped around the burger instead of a bun for all of you who are in "The Zone"

"Flying Dutchman" - two meat patties with two slices of cheese. that's it.

"Double Meat" - Double Double without cheese

"4x4" - 4 meat patties with 4 slices of cheese. Are you SURE you can eat that? You can actually have any combo you wish, e.g. 3x2 etc...etc...

"2x4" - 2 meat patties with 4 slices of cheese for the fromage afficionado

"Grilled Cheese" - cheeseburger, sans meat

"Fries - well done" - get your fries extra crispy and brown the way you like them!

"Choco-Vanilla Swirl Shake" - just what it sounds like

"Neopolitan Shake" - a blend of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry shakes.

Yer kiddin'? I've always thought they were pretty damned cheap for what you get.

BTW...Sorry Ramzey, I started to read this thread, but then got excited and had to go in my bedroom and lock the door. I just finished. So, who wants some In-n-Out now?! :D

Post by: bigsky on July 26, 2005, 09:18:03 PM: i dislike chain restaurants. i avoid them. but the best burger and fries i ever had was at some place in lake oswego, oregon. my boss lived there at the time and he recomended it. i cant remember the name of the place but they had a 1/2 lb cheesebuger with cajun fries and it was GOOD. but that was in 1990 when i lived there for a short time. dont know if its still around.
