One allegation is that he deleted files and logs from computers at the US Naval Weapons Station Earle at a critical time after the Twin Towers attacks, rendering the base's network of 300 computers inoperable.

obtained secret passwords or information which might become “indirectly useful to an enemy",…..

Perhaps triad for spying or espionage,  would send a message.  

Being locked out is a given but how long dose he deserve?

This guy's gonna get crusified way worse then Mitnick ever could've hoped.

And deserves whatever they give him.  Just because something is possible doesn't mean it should be done, for whatever reason.  Hacking has cost untold millions of dollars, and millions of effort hours to close vulnerabilities that shouldn't have been looked for in the first place.

I spent a few years developing and managing a computer network back in the '90s, and went through the birth of the 133t H4xor movement.  I was not impressed then with their motives, and still am not.  Malicious children then, malicious adult children now.
