If you haven't had an account on the same computer before, you're trial will begin the first time you log into an arena, excluding H2H.  You will then have two weeks free to try the game and explore.  When your two weeks are over, a pop up menu will show up when you click on an arena to enter and the menu will ask you if you want to subscribe.

How much does the came cost per month? Doesn't seem to be in the FAQ. Also, is there a link to any X45 button setting recommendations? Has anybody seen anything like that? Just wondering how other people bind things.

14.95 US?!??!  Seems like a little too much for a game of this quality. I know with that much money you could play much better online games. World of Warcraft, Dark Age of Camelot, World War 2 Online is only 12.99 US per month.  I seriously hope you are wrong.

Really?  I think its a great bargain for a game of this high quality - just 50c a day for unlimited play, as well as excellent support!  After all, it used to be $29.95 a month....  :)

$14.95 is not very expensive at all considering your able to fly a multitude of different aircraft in a arena with HUNDREDS of other people. Yes some of the graphics cant compare to other games you pay less for. But, the quality and ability to fly almost life-like aircraft from WWII in scenarios puts all other games in the dust.

You cannot compare AH to these other games. AH2 is a high quality multi-player online "Flight Simulator"! Flight Simulation takes way more computing power to produce than any other type of game. (the floating point math to model flight are astounding) If AH were to put the graphics into AH that you see in these other games most people would not be able to run it. I have flown many other flight simulators both online and box(offline) and this is the absolute best by far!

If what you are looking is an online "GAME" to play with cool graphics then go somewhere else. If you are looking for a realistic WWII flight simulation, with high quality flight models and combat between others of the same desires then this is the place to be.

@ $14.95/month it is a real bargin!

Well, if $2 US per month, or ~ 7 US pennies a day is going to make the decision for you maybe you'd be better off spending some of your playing time picking up returnable bottles from the roadside for a while.

After all, pick up two bottles, get 10 cents back and you're good to go for a whole day!

Good luck to ya!

A  "Homeless,  Will work for food"  sign,  would probably cover the extra expense.  May have to lay off the game for only one day,  to pay for the cardboard and perment marker.   Check out behind a office depot you could probably find these tools for free.

I enhance my signs with little flowers and peace signs!

........not to mention one of the best, closest knit communities out there, in AH2 and in individual squads. Ive played others and you dont get a built in bunch of friends that love to see you succeed in the game. Even if they are nits and r00ks. :D

to the community!

p.s. I got a box you can use for your sign.....oh....and a sharpie.....

Question, please.

If you have not played this game how can you make any comparison to cost and playability?

You have 2 weeks in which to give it a try. If at the end of that time you find it not to your liking then no harm done.

Also, WW2 online was $14.95 the last time I looked and has some war planes.

The other two games are MMORP's and not fighter sim games.  So you are talking apples and oranges.

Thanks for dropping by and don't hesitate to ask me for help.

LOL...12.95 for ww2OL...what a POS game that is. Hope you dont intend flying in there and enjoying yourself. It sucks.

WHen this game was 30 bucks a month I didnt want to pay it. Its affordable now and I get endless hours of enjoyment from it.

There are many good squads who enjoy the game and each others company. Why do think I always tlel new folks to wait and see before they race off, within a week of joining, to find one.

It's kinda like another post I was typin on about noob's always grab a plane they just got shot down by cause it has to be good, don't it? NOT!

It's the same with squad's. Just cause some squads have guys that can get some kills don't mean you'd want yer sister to meet em nor put up with their big heads. :)

The Unforgiven are a squad of guys that just get up and have fun with each other, win, lose or draw. You just havn't found a squad yet.

There is a community of squads out there wth many great folks who might read the boards but not necessarily write to them and they belong to good squads.

Also, dont forget that you have to BUY all those games you mentioned at a store for 50 bucks and then if you want to stay current, you need to BUY the expansion packs every few months. Dont get me wrong, i enjoyed playing EQ1 and EQ2 but im sick of those type of games. This game is a totally differnt type of game and really has no equal. 15 bucks is a bargain. Hell i remember when AW went to gamestorm..i thought 40 bucks was a bargain.

see ya speedy - you don't seem to possess the mental horsepower needed to figure things out.

too bad we'll never have the opportunity to experience the inevitable whines you'd be posting after playing for a few months - i'm sure they'd be classics.

at the offline drones still flying after taking damage.

:lol :rofl :lol :rofl :lol :rofl :lol

speedy you are the funniest person to ever post here!!

the offline map thing was genius!!! :rofl :aok

and everyone started ganging on you because you made fun of our precious (AH2).

I bleieve you said "14.95 US?!??! Seems like a little too much for a game of this quality. I know with that much money you could play much better online games."

the thing is no game is better! ANd only like 2 people ganged on you. We call you troll because who would talk bad about this masterpiece known as AH2? Only thing wrong with it is trees, assists, puffy ack, and dweebs.

I like the avatard. It reminds me of whats going to happen to me every time i go into a furball :D

hehe, the offline drones are meant for practice and they stay flying so you can practice aiming. WWII online has to be the biggest peace of crap out there, try to fly a plane and you will see why. Also you have to pay $20 just for the game and then another 12.95 a month to play. This game is great in many ways and if you can't take a couple people giving you crap about your post then you would of never made it in the game. Talking smack is part of the fun for most people.
