Can you give me more information on the P51B "Big Mac Jr" you posted. What squad, etc. This is the only information I could find on 363rd FG.
(Book description)
"363rd FIGHTER GROUP IN WORLD WAR II, Miller, Kent, Schiffer, 2002, new, see photo, 363rd FG was the third P-51 Mustang equipped unit to enter combat in the European Theater, very little has been written about this group because it flew as a pure fighter unit for only seven months, disbanded to become a Tactical Recon Group, this book shows the achievements of the 363rd for the period it flew escort & ground support missions, day-to-day operations, quotes from the group & squadron diaries, combat activities, photos, 192 pgs. "

Funny, that's the book I got the image of the profile from :)
Pilot was Captain John Brown 382nd Fighter Squadron, 363rd Fighter Group, 9th Air Force. Paint scheme is from late July-August 44.
Image is of Captain Brown on the wing of Big Mac Junior. Also from the book.
