Its an edger convention. Basically, groundskeepers from across the world to gather in a celebration of edgers. Companies are also there to represent the latest edging technologies.
Of course, there is the usual "manual" vs "power" debates. As well as wooden handle vs fiberglass... Craftsman vs Honda and so forth.

LMAO, DejaVu! .... uh, that's a joke, right...?
-
Craftsman edgers are overmodeled.
-
When is it Nate? And how much do ya want for them? I have some friends in Dallas that might be interested.

And you guys thought I was joking?
What I can't figure out is how they got all those big name bands to play at an edging convention. I guess there are quite a few closet gardners in the music industry.

Weezer is back!!!!!!!!
Yaaaaaaaaayyyy!!
I'd pay the 50 bucks just to see them again. Unfortunately Dallas is a pretty harsh commute away from where I live. I hope they're still part of the bill when Edgefest rolls up here.

The EDGE is a local radio station. Every year they have an all day concert with a few EDGE bands called EDGEFEST. no gardening tools required (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

I love the Cult, Everlast, and Weezer.
Weezer's been through town a couple times in the last few months.
My daughter even got me a "Pinkerton" CD signed by the band.
I do miss Rivers though. Hope he gets over his Brian Wilson thing.
And the Cult. Oh man, all I can say is turn that sucker up! Woo-hoo! Sell me some sanctuary!

Yup.
Edgefest is a North American thing... A sorta Lolapolooza with a different name. Line-ups do change slightly thoughout the tour as some bands leave to go off on their own previously scheduled tours, while other bands join up along the way.
That Edge radio station is just taking advantage of a coincidental name (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

We have a version here in Houston called "Buzzfest" and it is brought to you by 94.5 The Buzz....go figure. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Btw... What exactly are "EDGE bands"?
Is that like, you know, "alternative"? (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

The Edge is owned by Clear Channel, who also own the Buzz in Houston and a radio station or two in about every major city in America. They have quite a few named The Edge. They are the ones who put on this concert.
