Well I got back from Iraq in February but I screwed my knee up over there really bad, but I'm healed up enough now that I can use my rudder pedals again and fly.
I've only tried AHII once before and I'm looking forward to getting back to the unfriendly skies.
Missed you guys and it's going to be great to be back!!

Glad your back home safe and sound and healing up. Can't fly without those rudders, you know.

It's a long story but I'll keep it real brief.
I hurt my knee prior to deployment, I healed up.
Went to Iraq, was on top of one of our Fire Trucks and a mortar attack came in and I didn't have time to "properly" dismount the vehicle (I jumped off the top) and blew out my knee.
Now I just had surgery and I'll probably need one more for a bone graph.
But I can fly and that's the important thing. Oh and being with my family too!! :D

Ouch. Don't forget to do all the rehab the pretty girls in physical therapy want you to. It's really important.
Thank you for your service. And thank God you made it back in (mostly) one piece.
