Title: Whys the puffy ack so lethal lately?

Just wondering if my aircraft are the only ones with the super secret "puffy ack magentic device".  :)

It seems it is shooting too low as well, I was flying at 3.4k and flak was going off all around me.

I thought puffy ack fired as low as 3,000 feet.

From the 4 times I encountered it.., I died twice.  Both were within 10 seconds from the beginning of the firing.

I've wacked planes outa the sky in manned base ack gun,  only to see them think it was puffy ack kill'n them.  :)

I just can't relate to those who get killed by computer controlled puffy ack since it has never done more than scuffed the paint on the plane.  Are you guys sure you're not getting hit by manned ack.  On the potency scale, if 5" manned ack in hard liquor then AI puffy ack is warm water.

I haven't been even touched by Puffy ack in the past 6 months.

Almost as "realistic" as having puffy ack (manned or otherwise) going off all around you while you're in a close-in dogfight.  This is the only aspect of the game I can't stand.  I've been taken out of good fights this way many times, usually in the area of (but not close to) an enemy CV.  If someone other than the person(s) you were fighting got the kill, it was from a gunner (films will verify it).  If the exploding spray of hot shrapnel can kill me, it should kill any other plane nearby, or at least killshoot the gunner.

when manned ack hits me i lose a wing or half my plane and fall to the ground. When auto puffy ack hits me I'll either hear the hit and take no damage, or just blow up.

In all the many many years I've played AH I've been killed by the puffy ack exactly once: and it was my OWN ack that did it.  (It was firing at an enemy plane I was pursuing.)
