This why I firmly believe no kid under the age of 18 should own or be in possession of a firearm unless under qualified adult supervision.
Honestly, no reason why a kid should have a 9mm.
Dumb arse kid blows hole in foot. (http://www.big-boys.com/articles/shootsfoot.html)

thats fake. His friends would be screaming like girls and he'd be on the ground squealing like a pig.
edit: he is an idiot though you can see his real shoe in the film.
-
Maybe you're right. I knew of kid, must've been about 16 or 17, set a 5.56 round off in his hand. Burned his hand pretty good. But he didn't get off so easy, his commander made him spend two days in solitary detention. That was a locked small shed not much bigger than a dog house setting out in the hot sun.

A long time ago in my home town these two teenagers were farting around with blanks in a shot gun. Kid 1 was going to scare his friend by shooting at him with a blank. What kid 1 didn't know was that his friend replaced the blank with a live round planning on scaring kid 1 with the recoil.

Blanks at close range can do some damage, so even if kid 2 had not replaced the blank round he was not out of danger. There was a TV show back in the 80's that was cancelled when the male lead thought it might be funny to put a blank loaded pistol to his head and pull the trigger.

I didn't hear anything. Sounds like airsoft gun. Hmmm why would there be 3 shoes hehe:p

I remember hearing about that. Thought it as a soap opera actor and he ended up killing himself.
Dont remember what show though

Jon-Erik Hexum and the TV show Cover UP? Just guessing though.

it is so obvious that the wound is fake. that handgun would not blow off the entire front of the shoe, that is day one stuff. also, he wouldnt have the coherency to point the camera that he was holding in his hand at his horrible wound.

Text around the clip says it's a helmet cam. And they're doing a gun safety project for school.
'course it's faked, but it's a good example of what can happen

18 year olds shouldn't have firearms? I shoulda tried that one on my draft board back in 69

Woah thats fake lol,

I was given my first gun at age 12. My grandfather gave me a 20ga shotgun for Xmas. We had many squirrel dinners because of that gift.
I do not believe there should be an age limiter in allowing someone to own a firearm. Their are many 21 year olds who own guns that are much more irresponsible than I was at age 12.
Incidents happen like in that film more so because of people not respecting the gun, nor the people being taught gun safety as they were growing up. Even tho the film is a fake it still shows how important it is for gun owners to pass safety along to their children.

What 12 year old would want a gun? I mean what is this Grand theft auto vice city? In this time of day, I see no use for a gun for anybody. I think only way somebody should be able to attain a guy is to go hunting, and they should only be allowed to rent guns from maybe a hunting shack on site. IMO would stop alot of killings with guns, and way more fist fights!

In an attempt not to hijack this thread I was inspired by you to create a new thread Here (http://www.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=157052). It was an ispiration not just because of you but others as well. So if you must discuss this matter further lets respect Ack-Ack and take it out of here.

JetB, when I was 12 I wanted my own gun. We lived on 160 acres of land and I went hunting every single day of hunting season.
Yes, banning guns would cut down on killings. But, if I wanted to kill someone, I'd find a way, gun or not. (not that I do want to kill anyone).
Car accidents kill more people than guns, perhaps we should ban cars too?

Actually I also remember hearing that more children are hurt and killed while on their bicycles then any other reason.
So lets outlaw bikes too!

Regardless of whether this is fake or not, I have been around enough guns and witnessed enough people shoving them into that front wasteband to where it just makes me laugh. Putting a gun that close to your "boys" is borderline insane.
Any of our hardcore gun enthusiasts carry guns in the wasteband?

waist lol instead waste
sorry been drinking

See the problem is that 90% of gun owners are upright citizens. I am only estimating so it could be higher. I actually am beginning to have faith in the NRA, although its only a little bit. Once they get to passing the laws about using a firearm in the commission of a crime = life in jail, Then I will support them fully.
Most gun crimes are through stolen guns, Its been proven, check ATF stats. Although a few are through legally purchased firearms, its not enough to cause the kind of stir you would need to put better background checks behind them.
Personally, I doubt you could ever stop the influx of firearms into america, especially if you made them illegal. Just look at coke and weed. They are here to stay, and the gun guys have shown, I think that the best way to deal is with stringent laws if a gun is used in a crime.

Hehe cant remember what movie but someone said
"Me and My friends grew up watching star trek and Captain Kirk, But you didnt see us going around building starships and ****" lol I think it fits the point perfectly. People are idiots. lol
Its just another way for people to deligate responsibility away from themselves and blame something else for their own problems.

I just got my first airgun and i'm almost 16. My first paintball gun last year when I was 14. maybe it was being allowed to shoot my dad's guns when I was 8 but my airgun was NEVER pointed at anyone, no even myself, when it was loaded. You never know whats gonna pop out at 750 feet per second. Proper gun safety is the key to using guns the proper way. It when you get careless sliding a loaded gun into your waistband or pocket that you get hurt.
Remember kids, guns are not toys.
-
I had my first gun when I was 14. Granted I was not allowed to "play" with it unsupervised. But I had been though the local Firearms saftey course and passed with flying colors. (went on to teach that course for 14 years btw)
By the time I was 18 I had shot deer, grouse, partridge, squirrel, and rabbit.
All brought home, cleaned by me, cooked by mom.
I don't know if todays generation has grown up with the same sense of what is taboo.
I had a pocketknife by the time I was 10. Everyone had one, everyone KNEW that to hurt someone with it was absolutely worse than death itself. We'd of never dreamed of pulling it on someone. I don't think that much of the current generation has the same sense of right & wrong.
I don't think you should say no one under 18 should be allowed to have a gun. Some over 35 shouldn't, and some under 16 should. Its a maturity and responsibility issue, not an age issue.
-
maybe they should give IQ tests to own one. lol
-
raider.. the NRA is working very hard to get tougher laws on sentancing for gun crimes. Several have been propossed but democrats (yeah I know but it happens to be true) have put riders on the bills that made them un[palatable just as they did with several other good gun bills.

Don't you have to be 21 to own a pistol anyway?
18 for rifles and shotguns.

Agreed. Instead of more "feel good" laws restricting gun ownership which typically only effects legal gun owners and not criminals.
We should have a zero tolerance policy with crimes commited with guns.
Then we would have law that doesnt just make politicians and their supporters feel good about and otherwise useless law and would have a real law with teeth that bite that effects not the legal gun owners but the ones that commit a crime with a gun.
zero tolerance= commit a crime with a gun =10 years served minimum.
Commit a crime with a gun wher someone gets hurt = Life. No parole
Commit a crime with a gun where someone gets killed = Death
None of this candy arse nonesence of "Killing doesnt justify more killing"
If you take a life you should forfit your own.
Or take a page from some of the Arab countries and let the family of the victim decide your fate.
