I'll start... have a 2000 Nissan Xterra. No speed there. Governor won't let it get over 90 MPH. Of course, it's 4x4 so speed isn't the thrill. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Yamaha YZF-R6
And it aint got a speed governor.....best I've seen so far was an indicated 155 MPH (thats 250 km/h for the metric euro mob) along the A4 in the Netherlands, past Schipol airport at 1am (no speed cameras).....and it still had power there.....closest thing I can find to a Spitfire on the road. A 71 blazer, and a 74 1/4 ton truck. Man are they ugly, but I love them to death. There is another 71 blazer awaiting a frame-off restoration. But that is a pic for later.
Oh.. and we have an Audi A6 Wagon... but that's my wife's car.
Oh.. and these are vehicles I've settled on after:
- 92 Grand Prix Richard Petty Edition (210 HP)
- 93 Nissan 300ZX
- 86 Jaguar XJ6
..so its not like I don't know better.

1997 Chevy Tahoe LT 4X4. Comfy, fast & powerful (HO 5.7 liter), and drinks gas like crazy. My first auto with an engine bigger than a 4 cyl and I love it, despite constant fill-ups. It's got a 30 gallon tank...multiply that times the cost of a gallon near you. Ouch!
Used to drive a 96 Chevy S10 pickup. Was comfortable, but with a 4 cylinder engine you couldn't exactly take off! But it was/is a great pickup that I'm sure anyone would just love to have and it got muuuch better gas mileage...say, speaking of which (like the segway (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)), it's for sale! Just in case any of you Oregonians is lookin' for a pick'em'up - http://www.matthoffman.cc/s10.html (http://www.matthoffman.cc/s10.html)

Have multiple rides.
Main - a 95 Dodge Dakota Club Cab 4X4 V8 and auto trans.
1990 BMW K75RT motorcycle with sport style windshield. It's a 3 cyl water cooled injected little rocket.
2001 Saturn L series sedan V6 with auto and the wifey drives that one the most.

My first ride was a 93 Chevy Lumina
Was a nice car, but too big for a lil' tardling learning to drive. Lasted 2 years, still runs.
Second ride was a 2000 Chevy Corvette wich I'm too lazy to post a real pic of. If you do a search around the forums you'll find. Very nice car, chick magnet, used it for two months but I finally settled in with a 95 Jeep Wrangler because I decided I'm too humble to stop by the supermarket in a vette, and it was not convenient anyways. Good car for going to the raceway and for posing around. But the Jeep I love, great car, can go ANYWERE I mean it. Is fast enough, and I tweaked the insides to be more confortable.
Euros: are there Wranglers over in Europe? Just curious, its a great car I love it. I see the euro guys go more for simpler functional cars rather than the big gas guzzling SUV's that are the trend here.

I have an 79 F250 that my grandfather left me when he died. He bought it brand spanking new for $6,500. "my how things have changed" I use for farm stuff. Economy is measured not in miles per gallon but gallons per mile so it doesnt get driven much.
My everyday vehicle is a 93 ranger 4*4
I also have a 90 cougar that i occasionly take if im going somewhere special.
Aslo have 3 tractors, a Honda Forman and a toejamty old always broke POS lawnmower.
Swoop, I used to have a CBR 600. I came > < this close to loosing my licence so i decided to get rid of it. Speed limit 80kph = ticket before you shift into 3rd... There is just NO way you can not speed on a machine like that. The cops had little sympathy though (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) Miss it every day
-
Animal: was in europe recently and saw a couple wranglers. I'm sure I saw one or two in Paris, not sure if I did in brussels also..
My main ride is a '92 grand marquis that I inherted from my grandpa in 1995. My wife drives a 2000 taurus SEL. We also have a '93 taurus SHO and a sort of running 83 chevy caprice of great sentimental value to my wife. it was stolen in '99 and we amazingly got it back again after almost a year. Has almost 190k miles and engine/body is still in good shape just needs breaks fixed.

Right now I am driving a 1966 Corvair Monza. I love driving this car, Ralph Nader be damned (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) I have a 1975 MGB in the shop (recovering from an accident), which I will soon be parting company with for a 1977 Corvette.

Bah. Wimpy gas whines.
I get between 6-9mpg and have to fill a 30 gallon tank about every week and a half. Avg gas price is 1.35$
Such is the price you pay for using a mud truck for everyday drivers (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)
OTH it eats cars like geo-mcnuggets...all that fuel goes toward serious horsepower.

VOLVO 760 GLE '84

Renault Clio 1.6

110 HP
215 KM/h
I saw someone talking about the road near Schiphol. There are no camera's there i know, but the cops are patrolling a lot there. I have seen many cars standing on the side with a second car behind them and some people talking. That can mean only one thing, speeding tickets! :)
No realy, i was doing 140 kilometers per hour when i drove trough the schipholtunnel and there was a police volvo on me in no time. It was strange, because when i step on it i always look around me to see any cars that might contain cops. There were no cars around me and when i reached 140 (from 90 or so) this volvo was on my rear bumper from nowhere. I never saw him approaching.
The police then came to my left and you should have seen their faces, they were not happy.
So i reduced my speed and off they went, phew! What a luck i had there.
Max speed there is 100 km/h and i was doing 140! This is enough to get you in court you know! So i was lucky.
40 km/h too fast and you can loose your license.
Greetings,
JG5FaBi.
