It simply dies... a lot.  

AVI creation doesn't always work either.  One clip will be fine, next unplayable.  

If AVI creation is mucking up the works, take that out.  There are other tools out there to do film capture.

Controls don't work in the film viewer (ailerons, rudders, elevators).

Have film viewer option to read your view config files so that when you check it and play back your own films you don't see the back of your seat, you see around the back of your seat like you normally would.

Have the film viewer stop smoke in the rewind function if the timeline goes back to before the smoke should have started.
