Rules do exist.... (http://209.245.59.35/Gimme/25788327/1564151188/68920458/1EA3591C-6AD2-49DB-936F-490559B773AF/0.476351/2/bull****.ahf)
Maybe it was an accident, or he just didnt notice. But If I know KOTH dead engine means end flight.
This is not meant to be flame bait so please no flaming.

That really sucks. Almost makes you think that the rules should be changed. I mean really, it is too easy to have stuff like this "slip through the cracks" in KOTH. Should the rules maybe change to make dead stick planes a part of the action? It's obviously fair game to keep fighting to the death in the last 2 scenario. Why not in the middle of the action? However, I can see how it's cruddy to be shot down by someone that won't make a lick of difference in the round, but isn't KOTH supposed to be one of those "FFA, sorry-bout-ur-luck, u shoulda thought about that before, it's ur own fault, do what ya gotta do... kinda things?

... forgot to add, YES that is against the rules.

If you can see the fight through my views you might notice I wasn't looking at my Prop, or Engine guages. I was so focused on the fight that I had not realized my engine had died until I began stalling. Which was just after I shot Fubar. You will also notice I bailed as soon as I realized my engine was dead.
I have hardley ever flown the P40 and am not familiar enough to know what it's energy charactoristics are.
I don't see why a plane with a Dead engine cannot be considered a factor in combat, but I am not debating that here.
Please bear in mind this was my absolute first Koth. And Please accept my apology.
Dan.
