Wll i have been having troubles opening the game when i click on aces high 2 it opens to a white screen the resolution or what ever screen comes up also and when i click OK, a little pop up comes up on the top left side of the screen and says that "aceshigh2.exe has generated some errors and windows will shut it down now" "an error log has been created" this is keeping me from even opening the game what is the problem can someone please help me out i am serious feinding this game!! haha

This is normally due to the video card driver not being up to date (not neccessarily the latest driver, but one that is DX9 certified), or a video card which cannot run the game.

What brand/model of video card does your system have?

If you do not know, run DXDIAG (start->run->dxdiag), select the "Display" tab and it will show you the driver version number as well as a description of the video card.

From the Windows desktop, press "Start", then select "Run", then type in "DXDIAG" in the run dialog panel and press the "OK" button.

After a bit, DXDIAG will pop up and you will have to wait for the progress indicator in the lower left hand corner to disappear.

When the progress indicator disappears, select the "Display" tab from the tabs across the top of the DXDAIG utility.  In the upper left quadrant (labeled "Device") of the display panel will be a "Name".  This "Name" contains the description of the video card in  your computer.  That is what I need.

That is it.  Unfortunately, it will not work with Aces High II, nor any other DirectX9 game, according to Intel, and Intel is no longer supporting the chip.

You cant replace the chip, its hardwired into the motherboard.  You will have to buy a video card.

Without knowing more details about your computer it would be difficult to make a determination about upgrading.

For instance, if the CPU is a low end CPU, it might not be worth the attempt to upgrade the video chip.

Also note, some systems with that chip cannot be upgraded.  Onlt the manufacturer would know for sure.  If it does not hae an AGP slot, I would say upgrading would not buy you much, if it could be upgraded as you would have to use a PCI based video card.

yea pci radeon is what i used on my other computer before i had to toss it due to big virus but...how do i know if i can upgrade?where do i look  to check and see if i can?
