Title: More options than just a credit card?
Post by: Edgekid on August 15, 2005, 07:41:14 PM
Hey, HTC I'm not old enough to have a credit card and mom frowns on the idea of just giving out her credit card number to this company over the internet.  Could we have an option of sending a check?  I know that she wouldn't mind sending a check if I gave her the money.:aok

Check, money order, etc will work fine.

Can prepay for a month at a time, or in bigger chunks. Whatever suits you.

If you have questions, call HTC during business hours M-F at

817-251-1540

You'll find they are extremely friendly, helpfull, and quick.

In my opinion they have  the best customer service in the online gaming industry

i dont have a credit card or a cheque book with my bank account just the ATM cash card :)

however i do have an amazing TopUp Cash card from
http://www.splashplastic.com/

which allows me to purchase stuff online when i've basicaly topped it up with cash at a shop

this card might only be available to UK peeps, thats why i think it would be a good idea cos the payment transfers from these cards are in real time :)

HTC you can recommend yourself if you want http://www.splashplastic.com/help/query.jhtml?_DARGS=%2Fhelp%2F_category_card.jhtml

You can buy gift cards in the US which are basicly a prepaid Visa card. Walks, talks & squawks like a Visa, but its limited to the amount you paid for it. Plus it can't be tracked back to you if stolen.

Both Visa and MasterCard have pre-paid cards available.  You can buy them at most check cashing stores and "charge" them like gift cards.  Very safe way to shop online, as only the amount of money you put on the card is vulnerable if someone gets your CC number.

Also, why not add PayPal as another payment method for North American customers? (maybe a small surcharge to make up any handling fees?)
