Whats with the CV sling shoting me off the back when landing? It only happens sometimes, usually when I add a little power just before landing. This system is not supposed to be a bungie chord... its a cable with a brake.

It's a bug associated with the fact that the CV is moving and that the plane is separate from it. That's why you can apply a small amount of power and back up; the low throttle on a moving surface confused the physics engine and stops you while the carrier continues on. If your tail hook is down and a small amount of power, physics thinks "Backward from low throttle and moving carrier+Forward from old energy+Backward from stopping force of tailhook=massive backward force"
This is fun sometimes; grab a hog, put tailhook down, salvo 6 and select rockets. Apply a little power and when you begin to speed up backwards, fire rokets. It's hilarious.

IIRC, it happens when you dont have brakes on, ie if you give a little throttle, or if your gear is not down/broken.
Just forget hook and land without it.

Neg, happens when the hook is caught and you give it just enough gas to back it up on the deck.

Sorry OOZ if i wasnt clear. That what i meant.
When hook is caught in wire and there are no brakes for whatever the reason.
