I'm an Anglophile and all, but the Typhoon is a bit much I think.  The Axis has nothing close to it's raw speed and power.

I am also not sure if Typhoons served in Italy.

Other than that it looks like a great setup.

(cough cough cough)

replace TYPHOON with Spitfire V or IX. Typhoon gives allies too much JABO capability.

Actually, I was going to suggest enabling the FW 190F-8, disabling the Typhoon (as I dont think there were any Tyffie units operating in Italy), and enable the Spit V.  Americans and Brits both were flying Spitfires in Italy in '43.  31st transitioned from Spit V to Spit IX through late '43, and then in early '44 I think switched to P-51B.

I would remove the Tiffie (dont think they were there), add the P-40E (it was deffinately there) and leave everything else as is. With that setup everything is pretty even.

is there any way to do the eny thing like they do in ma for side balancing in ct?

it would be nice to limit the planes when the odds get out of hand, forcing some to switch sides in order to enable the entire planeset...

You might be able to toggle it on/off, but I think the "kick in" point is still the same as the MA, I think that's hard coded into the server. So it wouldn't help until the numbers got up to 100 or so (hah.. riiiiiight. Like that'll happen)

I was hoping it was more like a percentage of sides, like 2 to 1 would fire it just as 40 to 20 would

once one sides gets the numbers, its a turkey shoot

I've removed the P-47D11 - I'm going to add the P-40E in it's place.

As for the Tiffy, pretty sure it was there. (Need to check my WoW books.)

hey ed, duke and saber were in and the arena is made almost right again.  however everything pops back up in less than a minute as opposed to staying down for an hour.  you may consider adding a spit for the allieds i think they might be needing it.  generally speaking they didn't do well in there tonight and it must not be any fun for them.

Italian campaign was not early 1943. Here is the timeline:

- 25 July: Benito Mussolini arrested and Italian fascist government falls. Marshal Pietro Badoglio takes over and negotiates with Allies.
- 1 August: Germans disarm Italian troops in Crete and other Greek islands
- 12 – 17 August: Germans evacuate Sicily
- 8 September: Italian armistice is announced
- 9 September: Allied landings at Salerno and Taranto, Italy
- 11 September: Germans occupy Rome
- 12 September: Germans rescue Mussolini
- 14 September: Allied landings in Sardinia. Heavy fighting at Salerno
- 23 September: Mussolini re-establishes Fascist government in northern Italy
- 1 October: Allies enter Naples
- 13 October: Italy declares war on Germany
- 9 November: Eighth Army takes Castiglione, Italy
- 22 November: Offensive on the Sangro River by 8 Army begins
- 1 December: German line on the Sangro River broken

Typhoon definately NOT in the MTO.  Outside of 3 that were evaluated in Egypt, they were all England based.

RAF was operating Spit V and IX along with Hurri IIc in a fighter bomber role.  One of the places the Hurri stuck it out til the end, although in small numbers.

Lots of P40s early on in Sicily, Italy. etc

If we ever get a Spit VIII, that would be the place for it too.
