Title: Propane question?

Ok so I got a new grill from my brother in law and it's pretty nice.  THe problem I'm having is that one SIDE is hotter than the other.

The thing has three burners and they ALL run lenghtwise to the grill.

Here 's the question.  Will one side burn hotter than the other if the grill isn't level?  With the burners running lenghtwise I was thinking maybe somthing about lighter than air gasses getting out quicker on the higher side of the burners.

Somewhere between the knob and the burner there will be a vent that allows air to mix with the propane. There should be a seperate for each burner and knob. One of those vents is likely out of adjustment.

I don't think that's it because its on all three burners that run lengthwise in a line.  The entire side is hot not just one burner.

would leveling have anything to do with this?

It would have to be WAY out of level to do that, I've never seen it happen.

It is possible that the pressure regulator is out of calibration and the pressure (or lack thereof) is forcing the gas to one side.

Maybe something got in the burner?

Either blockage of an opening, or one is improperly sized.  

Propane is heavier than air too.  :)

Well that blows my theory out of the water but I don't think it's blockage and what not that would mean that all three burners are blocked.  They are the tube kind and are completly independent.

I grilled up some chicken tonight and broke out the level and it was the bubble was on the line.  I stuffed some wood chips underneith the side that was low and that fixed it a little bit.

Didn't know propane was heavier than air, I failed chemistry miserably in High School.
