#1 We ever never under any circumstance vulch in the MA, no matter what.
#2 There is no exemption to rule #1 except if we have a goon coming, and the town is down.
#3 If it so would happen, that the town be down but there is no goon comming, then this also will be an exemption to rule #1
#4 If the town is up, and, as God is my witness, there is no goon anywhere, then we can freely do what we want, including vulching the filed.

AH is the incredible entertainment for your dollar. Partly it's the game, partly it's the people playing it. But, never has there been such a totally immersive combat flight simulator, AW was close but the community was so divided between all the arenas, as an FR dweeb I never knew any of the RR jocks for example. We are all part of that one equation in AH, the drama, the personalities, the debates and emotional firestorms on 200, they are all part of what makes AH so much fun.

Honestly, if the game were just about flying around shooting at anonymous planes on the same tired maps day-in, day-out with no interpersonal interactions it would be but a shadow if its current self and not nearly so enthralling.

I don't know about anyone else but I feel I am robbing HiTech for the mere $15 a month AH costs, on the other hand my cable company charging me $115 for a bunch of low-grade heavily scripted 'reality' crap is robbing me...Step back and think about how much you play and how much it costs, then get things into perspective and enjoy the experience for all it's worth.

Yea, Nomde, when you've been WW2 air combat simming as long as we have it's easier to keep things in perspective. People who haven't played these games for 15+ years tend to over-emphasize what doesn't really matter in the long-run and overlook the really important things. The important things are friendship, comraderie, love of the subject matter, love of the game and most importantly, the love of just the experience of cracking open a beer, sitting down for the evening, talking it up, shooting it up, and generally having a grand old time from the comfort of your own home.

When you sit back and think about the kind of entertainment this provides it's really mindboggling. Just twenty-five years ago I was playing Pong and thinking that was just incredible. I can only imagine where AH will be even 5 years from now. We'll probably be wearing VR suits and VR goggles, playing in pure 3d with no connection latency. It's all very exciting to think about.
