Title: LCD advantage over CRT-Skuzzy
Post by: Balsy on August 22, 2005, 10:34:39 AM
I recently hopped on a few other computers and played AHII and to my surprise, saw lazer like tracers (some trailing almost an inch long).

Now, I have a NEC CRT 22inch FP 2141SB, which is supposed to be the "balls", which for everything but tracers is true.  It has a great refresh rate (120fps at 1600x1200) etc...

But it seems to me since LCDs 'ghost" they have a greater advantage over  the CRT.

I can literally NOT see my tracers once they get out front of me unle4ss Im fully zoomed in , and then they are just pin salamanders with little to no value.

So my question is, were the Tracers "tuned" for LCD monitors, or for CRT's.  Even at lower resolutions I have a terrible time seeing them.

Thanks,

Balsy

Nope.  They are what they are.  The LCD was causing that effect due to slower pixel response time.
