Title: How long till power outages.....
Post by: Jackal1 on August 23, 2005, 05:45:05 PM: It`s 103 degrees with a heat index of 106 here now. No rain or break in sight.
Usaly in prolonged circumstances like this there are power outages if it continues for any length of time.
Can someone UPS some rain please?

SkyD, typical Texas weather in August. It has actually been a pretty mild August until the last few days. Now it is starting to look like Texas weather.

Yep,..transformers are going to be blowing out soon. Been a while since we had this kind of heat. Last year was incredibly mild.

Well... no-one asked about the pics, so I guess everyone recognised them, although SkyDancer seems a little young to remember that movie.

I made grits last night. Added Cheddar cheese and Parmesan. Then cooked some medium shrimp with garlic,green onions,bacon and lemon juice.

Put the Shrimp on top of the grits and YUMMY:)

global warming? Yeah its happening but I'm no scientist so i've no idea what the effects will be.
