It would be great to carry supplies and troops into bases in this also it could  used for suralance. This plane also attacked ships.

You really want to fly an essentially unarmed aircraft with a top speed of about 160mph in the MA?

For a survivable flying boats look at the H8K2 or Coranado.  Both are fast (comparatively), well armed and carry a good war load.

the pby would be cool if they could make it possible to pick up "downed "players and return them to a friendly base

hehe nice idea.. but alas it takes bended knees to get somone to drop supplies these days .. never mind go out and search for a swimmer

Would get a serious amount of use in special events......and possibly in the new TOD arena.

Consider this… Being amphibious, and without the need of a runway, PBYs could be available at ports. (Perhaps available only while the VH is up... or a seperate hanger added.)

With their combat load of two torpedoes or four 1000-pound bombs, they would add quite some defense to a port from a land or sea attack.

Give them a long take off run to even things out just a little.
