Title: Destroyer Escorts

How bout destroyer escorts.Could do them like PT Boats.DE carried 2 5 inch guns 2x2 40mm 10 20mm.Let someone join you like in buff.One person could steer and do torps or aa guns and other control the 2 5 inchers.You could get in close to the beach and give the GV's hell trying to kill the lvts.Then later if they ever do add subs thn you have the depth chargers.

sounds good. but it would have to be perked. otherwise you would have every coffin stuffer without any CV skillz rollin towards enemy CV groups in destroyers. im thinkin around 60-70 perkies should keep the gremmies away.

IMO Nothing worse then finding some task group parked off the end of your runway.
