B-32 was the competition to the B-29. Don't know much else about it though.

If I recall, however, the B32 traced its roots back to the time the B17 was being developed. It was redundant as the B17 was under development as a maritime defense platform, and the need for super long range bombers wasn't visible on the horizon yet.

That is... If I have my planes right, but I think that's the one.

Thinking of a different bird Krusty. I think you are thinking of the B19. The Dominator actually saw limited combat operating off Luzon with the 312th BG.
