what effect will all this have on the NFL?
where are the saints going to play?
what about ticket / gameday revenues?
just was thinking, season starts pretty soon, and i dont know N.O. well enough to know if there is a college stadium near they can play at. also wasnt the superbown to be played there in the next few years?
not a big concern, just looking at the "bigger" picture of how this willeffect the whole country. things like all the conventions that held in N.O, they will all have to be re-planned and re-booked, probably at great expense to the company / group funding the convention.
local radio guys were talking, possibly 5+ years before any type of "real" convention type thing could be held there, and real toruism / trade show revenues come back into the city.
oh well im babbeling lol

I've heard LSU mentioned as a possible alternate field. As far as ticket revenues, do the Aint's draw much of a crowd? The convention biz should be back to normal within 2 years.
This isn't the first hurricane to hit Nawlins.

With any luck it will be The End, then something can fill the void of Monday night TV air time worth watching. I`d suggest either Archie Bunker reruns or Die Hard marathons. :)

Let the Saints roll in the muck the way God intended gridiron warriors to do. All those squeaky-clean uniforms at games' end are unnnatural.

they wont be home for some time...

The Saints are negotiating with The Alamo Dome in San Antonio.

After all it's not like the Saints will make the playoffs.

me and my wife have a bet if they will have Mardi Gras this year. I told her no way in hell will they cancle Mardi Gras. Decedence waits for no flood.
-
Mardi gras will happen, even if it's two guys selling snake-bite cure out of a leaky canoe. There will be a party. NO ain't dead, it's just a tad soggy ATM.

shall i make yet another thread to repeat what everyone else has said about how sorry they are, and how their hearts go out the the people in the hurricane's path?
or shall i continue with a somewhat different topic of discussion?
i was just curious about the saints, and what may or may not happen, among the OTHER things i posts, like conventions.
you (as in a general non-specific "you") may not think that in bumbleF, whateverstate will be effected other than gas prices for a bit, but there are alot more items in this big picture.
