Title: Cannot play AH because Connection to Host lost???

This is wierd,I cick on main arena to play AH then it takes me to some sort of a Downloading screen and says File:File,etc..Then after like 5 mins it says connection to host lost..How do I fix this problem to play AH.This is the 1st time this happens to me how do I fix this?

my guess is the arena map changed and your downloading a new map. Let it continue..don't click any buttons... Once its done DLing it will launch you into the arena.

After 5 minutes it says Host connection lost then kicks me back to the desktop so it never does finish the downloading,how do I fix this problem?

I'm no tech guru, but the big guys must be out -- so I'll have to do.

Make sure you're using the most current downlaod of the game. If you are, I wonder if your install was defective for some reason. Try uninstalling the game, and download and install a fresh copy. You may also want to download the skins pack, to save on background downloads while you're in the game -- but I dont think the skins are why you're having trouble.

Can you play the offline version? Might be worth trying that first, because if the problem is a video or other game conflict on your desktop it might freeze things too.

Hope it helps. Maybe once Friday night's over the tech savvy guys may be able to help you more.

I can play the Offline version and thats about it,So should I just uninstall/install again?

More than likely what is coming up is the timeout screen, AH cant get a connection.  I'd simply try checking the internet route to the server with a pingplot and see if any packets are being lost along the way.  My guess is theres a bad spot in the route somewhere and the connection is timing out.

Try downloading the latest release (http://downloads.hitechcreations.com/AH2041.EXE) of Aces Hihg II and installing it.

Also, make sure you turn off any anti-virus software before trying to connect or downloading the game.
