Title: Rules of Engagement in New Orleans
Post by: Shuckins on September 02, 2005, 05:21:59 PM
What are they?  Has anyone heard?

It is my fervent hope that the authorities do not tie the hands of our National Guard and Police units in their attempts to restore order in New Orleans by insisting they treat the armed thugs with kids' gloves.

Fox is reporting that there is a group of about 100 people that consist of firefighters and their familys.  They are trying to evacuate but are actually pinned down by sniper fire from accross the way.

This is beyond negotiation if you ask me.  from the apache gun cam vid:  "hit'em"

hmmm...

it's a catch 22.....

All it's going to take is one white male shooting the wrong "person" and the left wing media will have a jubilee..

True, and the truth is blinding sometimes.  Especially when you can turn on the TV and see it with your own eyes.  I still  think the gloves should come off.

I dont' think he's got much of a leg to stand on today the releif effort is in full swing now.  Especially with the guard delivering 9 million MREs to the superdome and NO convention center.

I was a little put off though buy the guard guys I saw on TV that were definatly out of uniform.  They did not have their BDU shirts on while ina convoy and had the LBVs on top of their T shirts.  Since when do we go into operations with half our uniforms?  Oh well.  Petty stuff considering.

Do like the French do, arrest the guy with white gloves in front of cameras. Sadly, 1 day later the guy looses his balance in the stairs trying to escape. 1 day later, the medias already moved to a new case.

Shoot to kill looters.  And if you are my U.S. government and politics teacher, shoot to kill IF AND ONLY IF they don't respond.
Looting food, water, the necesities is fine with me, but if a kid comes out with 3 new pairs of Nike's he needs to be busted.  Steal a TV and what are you gonna do with it?  You have no electricity and you'll probably drop it in the water and ruin it anyway.

Ya know... I've been watching the vids about people dying of dehydration and who knows what else.

Looters?

Who gives a ****? It's just stuff. It's replaceable.

I agree, it's the ones that are visiting violence on the survivors that desreve to be shot the most.
