I am passing this on to you because it definitely worked for me, and we could all do with a little calm. By following the simple advice I read in an article, I have finally found inner peace.
The article read: "The way to achieve inner peace is to finish off all the things you have started". So I looked round the house to see all the things I had started and hadn't finished . And before leaving the house this morning I finished off a bottle of red wine, a bottle of white wine, the Baileys, three Bacardi Breezers, the Jack Daniels, the Prozac, some Valium, some cheesecake and a box of chocolates.
You have no idea how bloody good I feel! :D

It's true though.
Take care of the things you can quickly take care of first. Get them out of the way.
It's the small things that you think you can put off that end up killing you. Because the thing about small things is, although they are small, they end up swarming you. Like Lilliput and Goliath.
If it takes you under 3 minutes to do (returning a call, responding to email etc.) - then get it done. Now.
The bigger things take more care and consideration, but should be treated with the same mind-set. What you can accomplish quickly, accomplish quickly. What you can't, chip away at, while always immediately responding to the nagging details that you should be brushing off and resolving within minutes.
Those small nagging details are what ends up killing you.

I dunno....
Whatever small details means to you.
A call from yer family. A nagging request at work. A wife's discontent.
It's different.

The small stuff escapes my attention. I focus on the hard things first.
Oh... and if you want inner peace, you need to do just one thing.

Im the worlds biggest procrastinater(sp?)
I put off everything. Then 1 day I decide to get it all done at once. For 1 days hard work I can do all the small stuff that alot of peeps do everyday a little at a time. Frees up alot of time. Id go into this further but I dont feel like it right now.
Like that chick puppet said in "Santa Claus is Coming to Town".."There's always tomorrow, for dreams to come true."
