Be carefull.
I ended up in a hospital for 5 days after I finally gave up and went to the Doctor. I waited 3 days and was dying.
I don't eat at Ponderosa anymore.

Definitely food poisoning, no such thing as the stomach flu.
Get to the hospital if you don't see improvement soon.
Are you running a fever as well?
Feeling chills?
Lightheaded?
Finger tips and toes tingling?
Whites of your eyes turning yellowish?
Get your butt to a hospital.

If you're feeling better, drink clear fluids only. Gatorade, powerade, etc. Also try to eat jello.
Next day try clear chicken broth (skim the fat off) add some white rice if you're up to it.
Next day bananas are good. Try fat free crackers to go wih your broth.
Do not eat/drink anything with fats or protein (meat, vegetable, fruit) as your body's going to do a repeat on you.

3rd-4th day you should be able to start eating regular food. You should really start to feel hungry by this time.

Sound advice.

Try to eat some saltines if you can. They provide at least a little energy and, whats more important, electrolytes (well NaCl at least). And keep up the fluid intake under all circumstances, even if it feels like they just get heated up on their way through.

Food poisoning is not something to be taken lightly. Especially when in might be due to chicken.

Regular Saltines have fat in them. His body won't like them in the first 2-3 days. Fat-free ones should be okay.

Spot on with the other advice.

whats bad is when you go to the Dr's, he says "well it could be food poisoning it could be a virus".... duh i knew that before I came in here, I am asking you what it is lol

I have no use for doctors anymore I think its all in your head. Theres so many differant types of ways of healing yourself, chinese stick pins in you, some cultures will chant and pray, I think its all in your head, if you really believe in the treatment I think it will work. I haven't been to a doctor in over 5 years since I tore my ACL playing football. I really don't believe in medicine, now surgery and operations are a diff story, they can do some amazing stuff, but I think your average family physician needs to go back to school a lil longer, I have had some dumb ones. Plus its not very hard, the nurses pretty much do all the hard work, the doctor just walks in the door looks at your chart and says ok heres some atibiotics for this and some pain pills for that, and I'm not sure what that is I'm going to refer you to my colleague at this hospital he'll run some tests... I really think your average family doctors are useless

Sorry Hawk, this reminded me of your post a few years back about you breaking your leg or some sort. I remember quite vividly, the woe-is-me type posts around then.    I'm not sure why I brought this up :)

I am pretty sure this is that new strain of ebola-SARS. Just wait til you sit down for what you think is a normal liquid #2 and you pressure wash the old crapper, with your melted internal organs.

TY ;). At least 6 years of studies were good for *something* :D.

I didnt know your saltines have fat in them. German ones dont. Sorry, my bad.

Ice: Although i agree on the usefulness of some Docs... they can at least start an IV when you get dehydrated too much. And sometimes antibiotics might be the thing to save your live (when you have certain kinds of food poisoning for example).

Hawklore, get up outta bed, get yer clothes on and get to school.

Oh, and give that good look'n nurse a pat on the derriere for me, on yer way out the door.

jeebus, in my day we had to eat raw chicken just to toughen us up. Then we had to walk to school and back in a blinding blizzard with no shoes, and it was uphill both ways.

And our own bedrooms? Forget it. We used to live in a paper sack by the lake. We'd have to get up in the morning, before we even got to bed the night before, and clean the lake with an old brush that only had one bristle.

man, kid's these days sure have it easy.

:lol

I can't remember what the leg thing was..

I know I had my tonsils/heart rate...

I don't even think I've *****ed to yall about what happend with me and my dad, my broken pinkie, and the later an overly strained back that required manipulation..

The old #2 started out as loose slimy, transistioned to the old Espresso machine, then to a pressure washer, currently in the semi-blended stage..
