Title: Investment Banking Recruiter
Post by: Neubob on September 07, 2005, 02:02:39 PM
DMG Securities is the name of the company. Their recruiter called me this morning, claiming to have fished my name out of a pool of recent Univeristy of MD graduates. I was wondering if any of you guys knew of an effective way to check up on the validity of this investment. Granted, I graduated Magna Cum Laude, but did so with a degree in English. This did not phase the guy on the phone, who was barely able to take in enough breath as he spouted off superlatives and eight-digit numbers. Needless to say, the conversation immediately brought to mind scenes from Boiler Room and Glenngary Glenn Ross.

Thanks for the help.

If someone has to call you and you have no idea who it is, they generally weren't worth looking for in the first place.

Bucket shop.

Check out the discrepancy between their careers page and their services pages.

Hell, they even mis-spell "corporate" on one of the latter.

Ignore them.
