I know that they came here to help with the hurricane victims but I thought this part of the news article was interesting.....
A 44-vehicle convoy of 200 unarmed troops flew Mexico's red, white and green national flag from every cab as it moved into San Antonio, where Mexican forces killed 189 rebels in the famous Battle of the Alamo in 1836 during the Texas revolution against Mexican rule.

That is interesting.
to them for helping us out.
Over the past few years I've been a little sceptical of whether or not the U.S. WOULD get aid from other countries(and which countries would it come from) in a time when something like this happened. Maybe it happens more than I've realized in the past.....
But anyways, there's a part of me that feels a little better about the aid that we give out to other countries, when I hear about this. Call it whatever you want... selfishness... non-charitable thinking because you should not expect something back when you give to the needy... whatever.... just the way I think.
