Very nice work on the optimizations HiTech and Sudz.  My frame rates more than doubled, possibly more than trippled.  I can now run at 1600x1200 with all detail maxed.

Great job.  It is appriciated.

Very very pleased here as well!  

I wasn't happy with toning down the LOD and range sliders on an x800.  Trees alternating through various LOD shapes as I flew by was psychedellic.  Now the range is maxed and it feels much more like a landscape.

My Optest4 issues appear to have been resolved too!

No moe 30/60 sec screen freezes anymore.

FPS's more than doublesd in some areas too.

Even on my old system I was able to double all the detail sliders & maintain my old FPS.

Doubled my framerate on my 1.8ghz P4 from avg. of 20fps up to 40-45.

Got my sliders at mid range running at 1024 X 768. It's like a whole new game for me.

Yeppers FPS are a HUGE improvement WTFG!
Also is it just me or does the detail look even sharper when in GV's ?

I noticed the same thing. And I didnt even change any of the sliders.

Definate framerate boost.  

Hell I can even get 25 fps on a Vic 20 now:aok
