Hornet, if you were to burn the most recent .exe it would be the up to date version.  If you're going to do this, I would suggest using a re-writable so you can burn the updates.

Ignore Skychump, he doesn't play anymore.

if you were to DL the latest version (2.05.1) and burn it to a CD, then thats all you get.

you cna check what the current versiony uo are running in 2 ways. start the game, and in the upper left corner it will show the version / patch.

-or-

open the C:\Program Files\HTC\Aces High II folder, and look for the "readme xx.xx.xx" files. the most recent will have the highest number, and that is which version you currently have.

as far as updates, well....

therotically HTC could issue a 30mb patch tomorrow, and another the next day, either way your CD would be out of date.

basically there is no way to stay current with the game via CD unless you DL and burn each full new release. since i dont see them linking to the manual patch on the home page anymore (EXCEPT this most recent), you will have to fully DL, and burn the whole AH installer each time a patch comes out.

thats my take on the situation.

BTW it is AH ii as in the letter I not 1(one)1(one)

Just burn the whole HTC folder on your drive, if you are playing as of today you will have all the updates. It looks like this.

If you burn the latest version you will only have the latest.

I would not burn the installed folder but only the installation files and your settings.

Also might want to add some soundpacks to get stuff onto the cd.

I would not use a rewriteable but a cd where you put multisession and dont close it. That way you can add the next patches and updates.

If your intend is to install old versions, for whatever reason, you need a full old version or an older version and the series of patches. If you have patched you can see copy the patches from your ah folder, as BBQ_Bob pointed out. Probably you dont have the "special version" bbq_bob has in there tough.

When you make a cd it might be a good idea to include the normal skinpack (i dont mean the highres skin pack but the normal one).
