very nice
Is Tynemouth on the map? Used to live there once...

Wow.
Thanks, Kanttori. It's beautiful.
Time to do "633 Squadron," I suspect.

looks incredible!

Time for Mossie Madness :)
Mossies escorted by RAF 19 & 65 Squadron Mustang IIIs and IVs, or 4th FG Mustangs, B/Cs and Ds.
Could be good fun against 109s and 190s
Can you get flak guns in the mountains surrounding the German shipping in the water below? :)

Great looking map. I am sure it will be used immediately upon its release to us Staffers.
-
I second what Reschke said. Beautiful job as always, Kantrori:aok . Can't wait to download it and fly around it off-line. If it's done by week's end, it would definitely be worth putting up. We'll discuss it in the CT Staff formum.

The map is now 99% ready, I need only Dux's better Clipboard map which he is creating in this monday evening.
Skuzzy get the files on tuesday morning, so I think he can build it before friday if there are no problems with the terrain and he has time from his other heavy works! :)
I tried to assign couple of Warships to the fjords and Scapa Flow, but they crashed the Terrain Editor, because the software supposed that they were "Task Groups" even if I had defined them as "Bombable" targets...
I have one idea left with the harbour ships and I try it in this evening: I am going to make those warships really as "Task Groups", but they CANNOT MOVE anywhere from those fjords or Scapa Flow, because the channels to the open sea are very narrow...
I send to this forum a link to the Beta 3 version in this evening (with the old CBM) that the CT Staff and other interested can check the map in the Offline.

Time for Mossie Madness
My thoughts exactly!
Another good one to consider is the 3 front war fought almost the entire war in Norway. Almost any planeset after 1942 will work.
All the best,
Crumpp

Actually, that would be better than having them as simple map objects, since as fleets they would then be able to throw up a flak barrage.

I want to see this as a snapshot:

Our aircraft served in JG 5. :)

Sorry boys, Skuzzy informed that he has not time in this week to build the map. Next week is better with his time tables...:(
-
CT staff, can I have access to your private forum that I can send the Beta map link to you? Then you can make your secret "military plans" in time?
I don't want to share the unfinished map here... and you other CT players can wait it one more week after it is official version!:D

Any chance of a winter map?
Moscow or Stalingrad '42 would be really cool...
-
I am going to make a North Sea Winter map, too, after this one is released on the next week. I am also updating in this Autumn Kurland (summer and winter version with more airfields than the AH I version had) and of course the winter FinRus is coming later, too.
Winter maps are easy to make from old ones adding only winter textures to all terrain textures, trees and buildings! ;)

LOL! We aren't letting you off that easy!!
We want to see the snows.. partially melted areas.. vast patches of wet muddy trails... the caribou and Santa's Sleigh too!!
:)

I kind of miss the old Stalingrad map (used to make me shiver just looking down at it. That one updated, with better vehicle spawnpoint layout, would be great to have again. Airfield placement was a little funny in spots too, so that would need work. Otherwise, it was a fun map to fly on/over. How about it, Kanttori?
-
I can inform Terrain Team for that Stalingrad map!
-
Just my personal opinion, but I'd prefer a small/mid sized map that covers details of a small area... maybe something like a 400 mile x 400 mile area with stalingrad in the middle of it.
But not complaining here :) Whatever maps are always good, and kanttori's maps are especially awesome!
