Is it possible to change my ingame name somehow while keeping the same account?

Sort of... from the Help files:

Quote

Your Login ID is private to you and is not the same as your Game ID.  The first time you try to log in to the arena after receiving your password, you will be prompted for your Game ID.  Your Game ID is what identifies you in the arena, and once entered you may not change the ID, only the case of the ID.

So, once you've picked your Game ID, you can only change between upper and lower case of the letters in the Game ID.

You can email HTC and have them change your in game handle to whatever you wish (or phone if you prefer).

The only catch is that if you change your handle you will lose all your perks, and have to earn them back. For some its a big deal, some don't care about perks. Your perks are tied to your handle, that is why you lose them.

You also loose any squad relationships, so if your in one you will need to be re-invited.
