Hi Guys,
Ever have one of those weeks?
We are finally going to go on vacation tomorrow. This will be vacation plan "F" literally.
One by one all our vacation plans fell through for one reason or another. Plan "E" disintegrated yesterday when it turned out that Ophelia was making a bee-line for the island we were supposed to be staying on. We'd gotten to the point where my wife actually said "Well how bad can a category one be? We could still go, right?" I nixed that, but you get the idea how badly we need to get out of here.
But now god-willing we'll be away for 2 weeks, so don't be surprised if you don't see me online, and my apologies if I don't answer email. It's currently backed up several days, but I really need to get away from the internet.
See you in a fortnight or so...

Seagoon, here is a little tool for you to explain how the hurricane categories go:
They all involve you, as a pedestrian walking down the street:
Category 1: Being hit by a dude on a Bicycle.
Category 2: Being hit by a dude riding a Harley.
Category 3: Being hit by a car.
Category 4: Being hit by a tractor trailer.
Category 5: Being hit by a train.
This may help a little.

Have you ever been through a Cat 1 storm? Guy on a bicycle going 75 MPH maybe.

Smidsy survived a Scottish class 3 hurricane....the equivalent anyway! Must be why he's a milutary man, in the navy.....
