Post by: Roscoroo on September 12, 2005, 10:18:02 PM
http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=32&card2=57 (http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=32&card2=57)

with everyone asking about video cards all the time ... this site with the side by side comparison /review/tests /specs ect should be stickied ... and or added to the links page .

thanks .

If it was just an informational site, I would have no issue with sticking it to the top, but we really cannot endorse any site with benchmarking data as that is far too subjective.

I would caution people about that as well.  Benchmarks can be made to look anyway the reviewer wants them to look.  Take them with a grain of salt.

I like it just for the ability to compare the hardware specs side by side.

And if that is all it was, it would be nice.

Hi all...just wanted to let you guys know that all the specs on the site were gathered by myself, but the benchmark data is all user submitted...what's displayed on the site are not my numbers, and they aren't biased, they're an average of all the submitted scores for each card...

As time goes on and I get more scores, I'll show cpu scaling and the like, but for now it's just an average...

I did not notice, but do you have a disclaimer about the benchmark data?  One that basically states, the information is provided "as is" and may not reflect reality?  Or something along those lines.

Not yet...I need to though...and another disclaimer that 3dmark results don't necessarily mean anything...and neither do any of the other specs...it's all just for informational purposes...

I plan on writing a "How to read these specs" page at some point to explain what everything means and what people should and should not take away from the individual specs...

Let me know when you do.  Thanks for the hard work.  I ran a site like that once.  I know how much effort goes into it.

i dont really count on the benchmarks between the diff hardware ... I like how its a nice fast comparison if each cards manufature spec's/ speeds ,ect

Thx GpuReview for your hard work
