Well it's been several years of great fun but my last day will be on friday.  I'm heading to Leeds Uni to study medical microbiology. The halls of residence i'll be staying in has no internet access so i'll be unable to play AH.  The hall appears to be the only one out of a dozen or so that doesn't have access to the net.:(   On the plus side the hall is dirt cheap (did i also mention it is the dirtiest, smallest and generally the most unpleasent hall out of the lot).

It's pretty bad timing, i was really looking forward to the spit update and ToD.  If i can't live without the net i'll see if i can move hall in a month or so.   It's going to be strange waking up and not able to have a cuppa + browse the boards.

I was gone from AH for 10 months for studies too and it may very well be more in the future but I'll keep coming back.

Was always a pleasure flying with you thrila. I could always find where you were by looking for the roman candles descending en masse from another one of your adventures!

Look mate, uni is "a little bit" more important than this stuff, so focus on that, maybe come back when you're a fabulously-wealthy biotech entrepreneur. (Can I come to the parties on your yacht?)

Thrila you're in for a treat m8. I'm ex Leeds uni (1981 - sigh) Boddington Hall.  Leeds is the main place - enjoy :) Nasty spirochaetes & gram neg cocci at Cinderellas Rockafellas - check it out hehe.  I live near Hebden Bridge now - great beer, great country & loads of sheep.

oh hammy is around the corner....when i get low on food i'll pop round methinks.:D

moot i'm doing microbio because i really enjoyed the subject last year.  Ever since I cloned a cauliflour i've found microbiology fun.:)   My career prospects when i leave will be- research scientist/lab technician/bio hazard/brewer.

whisky i thought of boddington but it's too far away from the uni.  I got thrown in North Hill Court  which is about half way between headingly and the Uni.  I'm positive i'll have a good time though.

Hehe edbert i'll be in a room (I think it may be classed as a large cupboard with a window though)


Thanks guys.  I'll be back flying the mossie in no time i'm sure.  I still have a couple of days til i leave, time for a bit of AH.:)

went to the radio 1 love parade there when i was younger.

350,000 in the main park and over 50 different stages all on flatbeds moving round the park.

Ive actually made a wireless antenna using soup cans. I pick up APs miles away. Wardriving is a hobby of mine. The pringles cantennas are not very good because the inside isnt metal. I have a 3 can version of his cantenna with a foil coverd funnel as a collector. Its pretty amazing what kind of range you can get with this.
