Title: CH HOTAS Setup Problems
Post by: Rick Opp on September 14, 2005, 10:18:28 PM
I have CH USB Combat stick, pro throttle, and pro petals.

I had them set up in AH OK before I switched computers.

I just got a new kick bellybutton gaming computer and I am having trouble setting up again.

I can see all 3 controllers in the AH stick mapping screen.  The throttle is the only one that any changes show up on when I move the throttle.  The stick and petals seem to be dead.  None of the numbers change or buttons light when actuating the controls for the stick or the petals.

they all show up but only 1 registers changes.   ????

I am running them direct without the CH control manager

Any Ideas?

Thanks

BTW

When I plug in the 3 controllers 1 at a time they work.

When all 3 are plugged in at the same time only 1 works, usually the throttle.

I forget how this goes, but I think you have to highlight the controller you want, then "set controller" . You have to "activate" each controller. AH set up for controllers has had me foxed more than once, but I think that is how you do it.

FOGOLD is exactly right... AH won't start reading inputs on a controller until it is assigned to a flight control.

Just make sure you assign the joysticks in direct/unmapped mode or you won't be able to tell the difference between them as they will be called 'CM Device 1' instead of 'CH Prothrottle'.

Hit the "set all inputs buttton" in Ah... I think that does the trick.
Title: That Did It

Setting the inputs did it.  Thanks.

It had been so long since I set it up the first time that I forgot.

A note to that effect on the setup screen would be usefull and save senile people like me a lot of heartache.
