Ophelia lashes North Carolina coast (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9317642/)
Hurricane Ophelia lashed the North Carolina coast with high winds and heavy rains Wednesday, beginning an anticipated two-day assault that threatened serious flooding and an 11-foot storm surge.
From the White House, President Bush took full responsibility for failing to fund the project to put a dome over all of North Carolina. He also took responsibility for failing to include enough money in his last three budgets to pay for the Corps of Engineers projects that would raise every Outer Banks island to 75 feet above sea level.
Ok... I made up part of that. I take full responsibility.

Can't see from here if its a minority or not but it is disturbing. Dont think it should be edited by the powers that rule here tho. Its news footage that everyone can see if they turn on cnn.

Only rich people should be allowed to live in disaster prone areas... we need to make a law.

Well it probably was. Actually you are wrong on that. Here in america they do not show any of that sorta stuff on the news. Unlike in europe where you can get every gory detail before breakfast.

So CNN is european now?
Saw dead bodies floating on CNN several times today.

there are 2 versions of cnn 1 for europe, and 1 for america. Cnn europe shows such things as they are natural in a natural disaster. While cnn usa doesnt. And 2nd CNN europe has that lovely Monita Rajpal, and cnn usa has some dork.

Aha ok.
I did suspect it since so many of the euro CNN folks are brits.
Is Quest on USA CNN ?

Ummmmm........CNN has been showing them bodies floating since the disaster.

Some of those bodies were dead long before the hurricane hit. The cemetaries regularly washout in floods in Louisianna. Quite a few are buried above ground in the southern part of the state as the water table is just below ground level. The death toll is being revised downward rather dramatically, fortunately. There is enough to do and be concerned with already.
