Yesterdays receipient of the DUMB prettythang award goes to me!!!
Heres the story. I was flying last night and got the itch to fly a jet. OK, I'm a bomber guy so I take the AR-234. Perks aren't too bad so if I loose one no big deal right? Forgot to un-check the fricken formation box and launch with drones. Well OK I'm in the air now so screw it, on to the target. Thats when my daughter walks into the room and asks me a question, so I put my formation into auto climb, and look away to talk to my daughter. I glance back just in time to watch my formation of 234's dive into the ground. PERKS lost.......260ish
OK watermelon happens and all that but here is where the DUMB prettythang for this award comes from. Not to be outdone by the 234 disaster, I decide to take most of my fighter perks and go up in a Me-262. Cost at the time was like 240 or so. Anyway up I go and fly over to 44 I think it was. Anyway I go screaming over the base at about 10K, laughing because I can see all the enemy fighters below me freaking out because OH MY GOD...THERE IS A 262 OVER HERE!!!!!! I'm laughing and having a good old time, so I decide to get a little brave and dive down through the furball and scare the crap out of some people right? NO PROBLEM!!!!!!! Except I forgot that the 262 tends to compress at high speed. At 2000ft AGL I decide I need to pull out of my dive and come to the sudden realization that my controls no longer function. Look at the airspeed and the needle is pegged!!!! Water at 700mph isn't soft ya know. BOOM.....there go most of my fighter perkies too.
I logged shortly after that and went to bed.

Well I've been there....Did it one night at a knit base. Was bored near a base with no one around so i figured what the hec I'll pork the barricks and rtb since nothing going on. Well I dive in about that time a huge mission ups.....I get hit by an ack near the ground which freaked me out and I augered in front of a ton of knits....Talk about embarrassing...I did get about 50
's for that great feat of superiour augering....LOL.
It was the most fun I ever had augering a 262 though. I at least made alot of people laugh and have a great nite in AH.
