Title: MiniD: Question for ya
Post by: Ripsnort on September 16, 2005, 09:22:51 AM
If your willing to answer...

I'm starting to get some side business with my Still-photo movie making. One of the movies I'm currently assembling is for 45 parents of the boys on our football team. I want to give out the DVD movie for free, but if they want a pic from the movie, I could charge them for a download of said pic (at a reasonable price) to cover my costs, and to promote more business (the DVD as a promotional tool for future business in this case).

What would be the best method in "water marking" my photos so they can view them, and then buy them?

Any advice?

PS: This D70s is an unbelieveably awesome SLR, I feel like I went from the stone age to present moving from my Canon G6 to the D70s SLR.

I'm definately not the expert on this... someone like Saburo would be much more helpfull. I use Photoshop CS and it works fine. I believe GIMP can do it too (and it's free).

Doh, didn't even think of that. I could proof them in Photoshop, then upload them, keep the originals on my harddrive.

Thanks.

Yea I'm wondering that as well.  I made one for my wife and parents as a gift of the last two years of our life on windows movie maker.

I had the music in the backround of that israel guy from Hawaii singing over the rainbow.

I've tried using adobe go live but it's a little too complicated for me.

I used to use windoze MM2, but my sis recommended Pinnacle, she makes commercials for a living for local broadcast company's in Minn, and she claims that PS9.0 is the best for under $500 on the market.  I'm really digging it.

thats cool.  Like I said I tried adobe Golive but didn't have the time to learn it.  It took me a year to learn Photoshop back in 97 and I still don't use it to it's full potential.  MM2 was cool IMHO but like every progie it had it's limitations.
