Went outside to find some lunch. The sky was a bright blue with big puffy white clouds, a perfect summer day. As I was walking down the street, I heard the low drone of multi engine, looked up just in time to see a B-17G come over the treeline at about 4k feet. He flew right overhead then made a lazy banked 90 degree turn to the north. I stood there watching til he was out of sight....
I think it was the "Yankee Lady" out of Willow Run. What a beauty. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

A treat indeed (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
I learned to fly there at Willow Run (Willow Run Airflight), and my grandma riveted B24 Liberators there. My mom lives on Bomber Ave. in Ypsilanti!
Now I live near Ft. Lauderdale, and every now and then I get to see a B-17 flying over our home, always relatively low. It really makes your day. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
